Right, well here we go again.

Welcome to the Blog one and all. You will be pleased to know that in spite of the radical new look that the show will have this Sunday, the Blog will, to all intents and purposes be more or less the same. I'll get to all that in a minute, but first; I watched a film called The Orphanage on Tuesday, it was out the at the cinema at the beginning of the year and I never made it round to seeing it, so I bought it on tuesday and went straight home to watch and I have to be honest with you, it scared the bejesus out of me.

It is a Spanish film, with English subtitles, set, unsuprisingly in an orphange. I won't go into it anymore than that lest I risk ruining it, apart from saying that it is from the same guy who directed Pans Labyrinth (and apparently Hellboy as well, but we'll gloss over that) and the story itself has elements of it in there - if you've seen Pan's Labyrinth you will know that that can only be a good thing, however. Obviously it is not everyone's cup of tea as tension filled, slow building, horror films are in a fairly specific genre, as are Spanish language films, but for my part I would recommend it very highly as it's a superb film.

I also rewatched Batman Begins, to get me even more excited about The Dark Knight, which is quite simply just class and always will be. The Dark Knight tickets are booked for Monday, and my friend Chris is planning to go dressed as Batman! To fit in I've decided to go as a character as well, bought my outfit earlier on. It's making me even more excited about it, as I've always loved Cat Woman (ba boom tssch)

Right, now to business. The show will have a dramatic new look on Sunday so if you tune in and are slightly confused about what is going on, dont panic, it will just be the radical new features, you'll get used to them. Not Quite The Missing Words Quiz is being rested for the summer and in it's place will come a new look True or False. Replacing True or False in it's old slot, around quarter to 12, will come a wildlife feature hosted by famed naturalist Roger McAlfwit, which I was overjoyed to get confirmation of last week. He will be joining us every week to take a look at some of the more exotic and unusual animals of Holderness, and to give us an insight into his unique knowledge and experience in this field. Which will be a fantastic treat for all concerned I think.

If you would like a mention on the show, or in another new twist, on the Blog as well, the email is daveonseasidefm@hotmail.co.uk which hopefully should be in blue so you can just click on it and send your email straight away. Isn't technology great?!

A very quick personal mention, my brother Jon has just gone to Australia and New Zealand for 2 months, so have a brilliant time mate. He has promised he will buy me a wallet that is made from a Kangaroo's bits. I cant wait.

Despite the dramatic changes, the music will remain the same on Sunday, The Motown Half Hour will still be there between half 10 and 11 and elsewhere we will have stuff from REM, Zutons, The Hold Steady, Modest Mouse, Echobelly, Muse, Buddy Holly, Bowie and Half Man Half Biscuit, which will do I'd have thought. You will also be able to find out whether my Dad enjoyed the Blondie and The Stranglers gig he attended on Tuesday - and more importantly what confused him about the text message I sent him during the evening.

Tune in at 10 on Sunday.

Tatty Bye
