One lucky youngster from East Yorkshire will this week win his or her chance to play rugby at Twickenham in June, training with Rugby legend Lawrence Dallaglio.

There are festivals taking place all over the country, and this week there will be a tag festival held at Hornsea Rugby Club on 21st March 2010.

It's all thanks to SACLA' , the famous Italian pesto-pioneers who have announced a ground-breaking partnership with the Rugby Football Union in which they will sponsor ALL the grassroot rugby festivals across England and Scotland this year involving over 40,000 youngsters.

The exciting tie-up builds on the success of the Sacla' business relationship with the former England rugby captain Lawrence Dallaglio and last year's launch of the Dallaglio by Sacla' range of sauces.

Local coach, Russ Towse, says it is a wonderful opportunity for all the players.
He says “For a youngster from our area to play rugby at Twickenham in the presence of Lawrence Dallaglio is a one off, life changing experience.”

Each club will be given special Sacla' rugby balls and every child who attends will receive Sacla' goodies including souvenir pens and four Dallaglio skills cards, which will offer special tips and which can be used to track progress and improvement. And mums will get four great recipe cards using a variety of Sacla' Pasta Sauces - perfect recipes for all the family to share and enjoy.

There will be lots of prizes on offer, and one child from each festival in East Yorkshire will win the chance to join Lawrence at the Sacla' National Training Day on Saturday 5th June at Twickenham. Each child will be chosen based on his or her sportsmanship, discipline, teamwork, respect and enjoyment in line with the RFU's own core values.

Lawrence says: "Together we will be supporting rugby festivals for children aged between 10 and 16 years all over the country, which will reach their exciting climax with a special and unique training session with me and over 100 youngsters at the world-famous Twickenham Stadium, the home of England rugby, this summer.

"These Sacla' Rugby Festivals are a fantastic day out for the whole family and will also be a great way to encourage families to share more time together - whether that's playing sport or enjoying, healthy family meals around the table".

Sacla' UK Managing Director Clare Blampied, added: "Being an Italian family owned and run business, the Sacla' family know a thing or two about living and eating well, and the importance of spending family time together.

"We want to encourage children to be more active, to eat more healthily and to share those values with their family.

"Lawrence is a brilliant sportsman and a great rugby legend who will continue to inspire children, big and small, in playing sport and being active."

The RFU's Director of Community Rugby, Andrew Scoular, said: "We're delighted that Sacla' is supporting the development of the game of rugby in this way. The Sacla' Rugby Festivals will involve more than 40,000 youngsters and there is every chance that with Lawrence's support we could discover some stars who could play in the World Cup in 2015 when England hosts the competition."
