Is that it?!

Mike Brown's picture

...I've heard that a few times. However on this occasion I'm talking about Easter.
Is it just me or is it shorter? No, of course it isnt but it certainatly seems it when you compare it with when you were a kid. I used to get a lot more eggs too, eggs shouldnt just be for kids! If you happen to have any spare then feel free to donate them to the new Seaside FM 105.3 campaign called "An egg is not just for Easter" and I'll find them a new home! MY BELLY!

Happy Easter

Howdy!

I'm probably going to come accross as a bit tight and a bit miserable here, but there is always something to waste our hard earned cash on isnt there? We've already had Valentine's Day, Mother's Day and this time last week I was ranting on about St Patrick's Day, this week Easter is just around the corner.

I mean why don't they space it out a bit? That way at least our wallets have the chance to recover? To be honest, I think its all been put in place to keep the economy rolling during the quiet period after Christmas!? What actually happens in summer? I think Easter would be better in the summer, so if anyone could convince the church that the resurrection of Jesus actually took place in July then that would make my finances better. Hang on a minute....no that wouldnt work would it? My easter eggs would melt!!!!

Anyway, as a chocoholic there is only really one thing I want to know, when is it OK to start eating my eggs!?

It was another busy show on Sunday, infact it was like a 34C bra on a 34DD woman, erm what I'm trying to say is that it spilled over the edges into Dave's show a little bit! It couldnt be helped, I'm getting it measured up properly for next week!

Howdy!

Only me again! It's Saturday and I was thinking earlier that its getting close to St Patrick's day and I really should make plans for it. Then I discovered that the Catholic Church have moved it! Yes, they didn't like the day it fell on this year as it clashed with some day in the Church's calendar.

Manakins, Lily the Pink & this weeks show!

Howdy all,

Just me again bloggin' with the latest from the weird world of The Mike Brown Radio Show.
I've had a pretty quiet week for once, and to be honest I think I needed it after burning the candle at both ends (and in the middle) the week before.

I paid a visit to The Lamp on Norfolk Street in Hull along with my fellow Seaside FM presenters Big Simon Harris and Paul & Donna Ashworth. The reason we were all attracted out on a school night was to see Sandi Thom and Dave Abbott.

Drinking....and on a school night!

Another corker of a wireless programme is over for another week and now I can get back to being erm normal...well normal-ish!

On Sunday's show my guests were Hull duo 'Cracktown'.

Myspace or Facebook, which one are you?

Howdy!

Do you know anyone who is unlucky enough to suffer with dreaded insomnia? Maybe your like me and you do yourself? Well, if you do then you'll know exactly how crap I'm feeling right now after having a particularly bad week with it.

When I go to bed on a night my mind seems to wake up and it's almost as if I'm frightened to fall asleep just in case I miss something! It's really strange as during the day I'm as cool as a cucumber and very chilled.

Sunday is Funday!

Howdy all!

Just me again, bloggin' about my usual Sunday shenanigans...

My day started at around 10ish, yeah I know thats late but I'm entitled to a lie-in at least once a week aren't I!?

Once I've got my kit together for the show, I leg it for the number 75 bus, It must look a bit strange some guy getting on the bus with a massive holdall. Still, there is nothing more strange than the people on the bus.

Howdy!

Just found out some good news for radio stations like ours that stream on the web. According to Radio Joint Audience Research Limited, almost 12 milllion people have tuned into radio via the internet and 1.87 million download a podcast weekly. The average podcast user subscribes to 3.16 podcasts a week and spends 53.6 minutes a week listening to them at their leisure. The survey, by IPSOS MORI but commisioned by RAJAR, took place from September to October 2007 using data from 640 respondents.
