Mike Brown's Pub Of The Week: The Hop and Vine in Hull.

Howdy!
It's just me again with my regular update on my Pub Of The Week.
This week, I'm cider hunting! As there is a severe lack of real cider in Withernsea, I decided to head to my home town toseek some refreshment!
I'm no stranger to this weeks featured pub, and can often be found frequenting it on my lunch or after work. The place i'm talking about is The Hop and Vine, which is a small bar on Albion Street in Hull.

BONG! Here is the news..

Hi all,
You may have heard about a new report that has been published today by a think tank saying that cities in the North - such as Hull, Sunderland and Bradford, are "beyond revival" and everyone living there should move south!
A mass migration to London, Cambridge and Oxford would stop residents becoming "trapped" in poorer areas, so say 'Policy Exchange'. They also said that current regeneration policies were "failing" the people they were meant to be helping.

Mike Brown's Pub Of The Week: The Triton Inn in Brantingham.

Howdy!
It's time for another one of my recommendations on my Pub Of The Week. This time around it's The Triton Inn in Brantingham, although we have mentioned this establishment before, it has never had the title of Pub Of The Week, so I will now right that wrong!
The Triton Inn is located between Elloughton and South Cave on Ellerker Road, which is just off the A63. Now, although it sounds a little tricky to It find, it is actually worth tracking down for the relaxing views alone, it's just nice to chill out sometimes isn't it?!

Mike Brown's Pub Of The Week: The Plough Inn in Hollym

Howdy!
I trawl through the villages and towns of the East Riding every week in order to find a watering hole that I think you should visit. Last week I went to Hollym and payed a visit to The Plough Inn.
The Plough offers hot and cold drinks, real ales, bar food, bed & breakfast accommodation and is the only pub there is in Hollym!
The menu isn't as extensive as some of the other food pubs I have been to recently, but good none the less. Some of the choices were...
- Pork chop, lamp cutlet, chicken breast or gammon steak, with either chips or mash and veg or salad.

Liberty Stands on The Mike Brown Radio Show

Howdy!
I can't even start to tell you how hot and sweaty it was in the Seaside FM studio this Sunday, it was so hot that one of the mini disc players decided to randomly stop and start and typically it would only do this when I was visiting the little boys room!

AAAAAHHHHHHH-CHOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Howdy!
How are you? Well, I'm rubbish! My hayfever is driving me mad. I've already moaned about this several times on the show and at least once before on my blog, but this week it is worse than ever. I have even been to my the docs to see if he could prescribe me something a little stronger, all he actually managed to do was prescribe me something that isn't actually made anymore! This is something I found out after visiting several chemists last night, I wasn't happy to say the least!

"Seaside FM: The Big Push" or "Twiddle your knob or I'll send the boys round!"

Howdy!
The Mike Brown Radio Show was a little different to normal this Sunday. If you heard the show, then you'll know that we put the usual bits n bobs on hold for a special one off event, the first ever "Seaside FM promotion day" or "Seaside FM awareness day" or "The Big Push", infact we didn't really think of a name so I'll let you call it what you like!
